Welcome to COM 274, Environmental Communication. This course meets MWF at noon in Spring 2009. For a copy of the syllabus, click HERE.

Students in the course are involved in planning and/or executing environmental campaign initiatives on campus in cooperation with the university Green Team. This semester the class will research information necessary to propose a visual logo and branding for the Green Team and also work with individual smaller campaign initiatives (e.g., bicycle safety on campus; Healthy You, Healthy Earth).

The primary text for the course is Robert Cox's Environmental Communication and the Public Sphere (Sage, 2006). The second textbook is Susan Jacobson's Communication Skills for Conservation Professionals.
