» Suzanne T. Leonard Kovalcik (Mass Communication, 1989) works as an administrative assistant in the Arizona Department of Economic Security in Phoenix, where she has lived for the past 10 years. Kovaicik also works part timei in the ticket office/telephone room of the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team and as an usher at the downtown Orpheum theatre and the newly renovated Phoenix Symphony Hall. She lives in a downtown condo with husband Robert and enjoys the warmer weather, "I think of my triple didget summers as my Illinois winters. Great tradeoff."

"I assist attorneys in developing their presentations for trial. This consists of PowerPoint, proprietaty software and other graphics programs," Vanderport says.

Jayme Monacelli is now working for KMBZ-AM in Kansas City, as a midday anchor and producer of their all-news morning show. NewsRadio 980 KMBZ is a recognized leader for its coverage of breaking news, in-depth series, severe weather coverage and feature reporting and was the winner of the 2007 Edward R. Murrow Regional Award for Spot News. Monacelli comes to Kansas City after spending 8 years at WJBC-AM in Bloomington, IL, where she won numerous Edward R. Murrow and Associated Press awards for her work. Originally from Kankakee, IL, Jayme has degrees in speech and secondary education from Illinois State University, and still spends spare time coaching and judging for high school debate and speech tournaments. » Alum Randy Salerno, 45, a morning anchor for Chicago WBBM-TV, died January 24 in Eagle River, Wis., when the driver of a snowmobile he was riding lost control and slammed into a tree. Salerno served as a general assignment reporter and as the weekend morning news anchor from 1994 till 1999. Before working at WGN, Salerno was a reporter and weekend anchor at WNYT-TV in Albany, New York. Prior to that, he worked at WMBD-TV and WHOI-TV in Peoria. He began his broadcasting career at WIFR-TV in Rockford as a general assignment reporter. Salerno is survived by his wife Irene and 3 children.

» TV-10 alum Adam Bradshaw (‘84) is the News Director at WHEC-TV in Rochester, New York. Prior to that he was News Director in Salt Lake City and had also worked in the San Diego and Los Angeles TV markets. Over his career Bradshaw has won four individual Emmys, five collaborate Emmys and a number of other broadcast journalism awards.
» Tiana Ashley (‘04) is in charge of video production for Caterpillar (Decatur) in the Mining and Construction Division. She recently won a Video Excellence award for the safety video that visitors and new employees watch when they first come into the plant.

» TV-10 alum Christine Haas (’97) is a news anchor at KVUE-TV Austin, Texas. Haas joined KVUE news as co-anchor of the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts in August of 2003. Prior to joining KVUE, Haas worked at KARE 11 News in Minneapolis, Minn. She served as weekend anchor and general assignment reporter for the top rated NBC affiliate in the country. Previously, Haas worked as an anchor/reporter at WTSP in Tampa, FL, at KTHV in Little Rock, AR, WUHF in Rochester, NY and KAMR in Amarillo, TX.
» TV-10 alum Jerry Goodman (‘89) is a producer for one of ESPN’s most popular programs, "College Hoops Tonight." He has also produced "NFL 2Night," "Sportscenter" and ESPN’s Final Four coverage over the past five years. Goodman was a news anchor and reporter at TV-10 during his time at ISU. After completing an internship at WICS-TV in Springfield, he worked at WAND-TV in Decatur as a reporter and anchor and then went to WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio as a news producer. He has been at ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut since 1996.
